Patrick has worked on over 200 hours of television across his career. He has also created
content for National Geographic, Discovery, and The History Channel. He has been an
animator on international commercials, and has VFX supervised music videos for Nicki
Manaj and others. Patrick enjoys pushing the limits of a television; and finds excitement in
delivering the top-tier animation on a television budget and schedule.
Laura is a passionate visual effects and motion graphics author at Pluralsight. Ever since her first exposure to After Effects in college, Laura has had an eternal drive to learn more about motion graphics, and teach others what she has discovered. Daniel Smith is an award-winning artist, teacher, writer, and director. He has worked as a VFX artist for three decades. Daniel has trained thousands of VFX artists throughout the world and has created extensive training and taught over a 1000 artists. You can find his name in the credits of films and TV for many top studios, including Netflix, HBO, Sony, Paramount, Warner Bros and Disney. Melissa brings 15 years of industry experience to Pluralsight. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, she first became interested in multimedia in high school. After studying graphic design and new media, Melissa briefly worked in motion graphics at a local television station. This led to her first visual effects job at Frantic Films (Prime Focus). Conrad is a visual effects compositor, and has been using Nuke and working on feature films since 2008. He's worked on Avatar, Harry Potter, Deadpool, Jurassic World, and at companies including, Framestore, MPC, and Digital Domain. Before getting into visual effects, Conrad wanted to be an editor, and spent a few years editing and using After Effects. He spent several years working in London before moving to Vancouver.
Florian Girardot is an artist specializing in computer graphics, compositing, video projection, and photography. He is also director of several short movies and a visual effect teacher. He worked for several companies in the world on major feature films (Puss in Boots, Madagascar 3, Despicable Me 2, Godzilla 2014 and more). Florian’s leitmotif is always to find the perfect balance between art and technologies, just to amaze people.
Eric has been active in visual effects for the last thirteen years.
