In this intermediate section we will be creating plans from existing plans, creating and using task dependencies, constraints and deadlines. We will cover how to produce specific communication documents for different stakeholders, and how to create Agile Project Plans using Microsoft Project.
This can be thought of as a beyond the basics guide to managing projects with Microsoft Project.
In this advanced section we will talk about advanced features available in Microsoft Project. This will include ensuring that resources are not over allocated during the project and that a team manager can see the resource’s workload over a number of different projects. We will also use advanced techniques to accurately record the progress of the project, review which tasks are running late and auto reschedule these into the future. Additionally, we will allocate a budget to the project, and track the variances to this budget.
